85. हमें जो स्वतंत्रता मिली है उसके लिए हम क्या कर रहे हैं? यह स्वतंत्रता हमें अपनी सामाजिक व्यवस्था को सुधारने के लिए मिली है। जो असमानता, भेदभाव और अन्य चीजों से भरी हुई है, जो हमारे मौलिक अधिकारों के साथ संघर्ष करती है।

86. समाज में अनपढ़ लोग हैं ये हमारे समाज की समस्या नही है। लेकिन जब समाज के पढ़े लिखे लोग भी गलत बातों का समर्थन करने लगते हैं और गलत को सही दिखाने के लिए अपने बुद्धि का उपयोग करते हैं, यही हमारे समाज की समस्या है।

87. मैं समझता हूं कि कोई संविधान चाहे जितना अच्छा हो, वह बुरा साबित हो सकता है, यदि उसका अनुसरण करने वाले लोग बुरे हों। एक संविधान चाहे जितना बुरा हो, वह अच्छा साबित हो सकता है, यदि उसका पालन करने वाले लोग अच्छे हों।

88. पानी की बूंद जब सागर में मिलती है तो अपनी पहचान खो देती है। इसके विपरीत व्यक्ति समाज में रहता है पर अपनी पहचान नहीं खोता। इंसान का जीवन स्वतंत्र है। वो सिर्फ समाज के विकास के लिए पैदा नहीं हुआ बल्कि स्वयं के विकास के लिए भी पैदा हुआ है।

89. आज भारतीय दो अलग-अलग विचारधाराओं द्वारा शासित हो रहे हैं। उनके राजनीतिक आदर्श जो संविधान के प्रस्तावना में इंगित हैं वो स्वतंत्रता, समानता और भाई -चारे को स्थापित करते हैं और उनके धर्म में समाहित सामाजिक आदर्श इससे इनकार करते हैं।
